In a couple hours, I’ll be back at Groton for the final stretch of the year, the weeks after spring long weekend through final exams. If the school year were a crew race, this would be the sprint. In 45 days, I will be a high school senior.
But until then, I have news!
- I am registered for a one-day PMC ride this summer! The Pan-Mass Challenge is an annual fundraiser for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, consisting of a whole bunch of fundraising and culminating in a two-day bike ride. The full length PMC is 186 miles of cycling over two days, and it’s on my before-30 bucket list. But the fundraising commitment is massive, so I’m starting out with a short 50-miler to get my feet wet. Any and all contributions are immensely appreciated and will enter you in a raffle for a custom friendship bracelet! To donate, click here.
- I want to be a journalist! It combines my passions for writing, photography, and piecing things together. When I’m not freaking out about homework (because fifth form spring), I’m basking in my excitement for my future.
- We won our first race on Saturday! Tomorrow, we race our lovely rival, St. Mark’s. The race part of crew season has officially begun!
I have a whole bunch of fun things lined up this summer, including a journalism workshop, a creative writing workshop, and writing my college application essays! But it’s far too soon to be thinking about that. Back to schoolwork I go!
